Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 02 10:01 am)
Without a picture it's a little hard to tell, but IK is definitely dominant. If your
morph would move the legs in a way that you couldn't do "manually" when
IK is on, then it won't happen from the ERC either.

I haven't applied IK with joint controlled morphs, but I can tell you for sure that ERC and IK don't work all that politely together in other ways, it seems that Poser's IK is not "aware" of joint rotations that are obtained through ERC.
Yes the more I think of it IK doesn’t drive any of the channels used in ERC. So maybe the answer is to make some transitional morphs to drive the leg movement and leave IK out of it. At least you guys understood the question the rest of the other forums didn’t understand the question Thanks for the help.
There are a lot of wierd applications for ERC, you can for example drive a joint rotation with a morph (a morph-controlled joint instead of a joint-controlled morph). You may want to poke around in these documents:

A few more details of exactly what you ar trying to achive might help. I gather that you want to control the morphs from joint rotations, that is normally referred to as JMC (Joint Controled Morphs). Does this involve walk cycles?
I don't have any answers off the top of my head, but feel you may have more chance of success driving the morphs from Y transition of the feet.
What happens after you place the foot and THEN turn off IK? Doesn't matter really I suppose because it's not doing what you want, but I'm curious if the joint will get dialed up as soon as IK is disabled (I suspect it will).
I have found that if you set up the animation cycle with IK on and then just turn off the IK for the actual animation it works OK, extra work. :) Maybe this is a good argument for magnets and body handles. Also the morph controlled joints is an interesting concept but I have never checked it out yet.
Been messing with slaved body handles for the fat man I'm working on, to get the rolls of fat to move around when he walks. Using much the same idea that odf is using with the cascading JCM's in Antonia only with body handles instead of morphs. Ockham and Lesbently both had some interesting threads awhile back on this.
Hi ockham, how's it in Spokane? I'm a native washitonian from Okanogan WA.
cheers,
Mike.

All other forums have failed to answer this, so this is my last hope
I’m not sure if this is possible or if anyone can answer this. What I’ve done, is create ERC morphs for the thighs they work with a normal bend and side-side but when if you use IK it doesn’t work, is there another channel I can use to drive this that works with IK or am I wasting my time.
The only other option is drive the morph with the Y transition of the foot.
