Subject: Dress TRouble with Victoria 4.2

xpdev ( ) posted Tue, 01 June 2010 at 1:22 PM · edited Sat, 20 July 2024 at 12:47 AM

Dear friend

I have a problem with the custom of Victoria 4.2, with both standard and modified the body, as shown in photo

The question is:

1 - It 's necessary to manually adjust the costume?
2 - For the bra I can do that manually, but not in the piece.

Who will help me understand?

Thank you

Conforming clothing is limited in terms of the morphs that the designer put into it. If s/he didn't put in, say, the implants morph, then the clothing cannot track this morph.

The first step is to be sure the clothing morphs are adjusted the same way as the character. To do this, select Victoria, making sure you have her whole body and not just a part... then hold down the control key and press "c" at the same time. Now select the dress, making sure you have the body and not a part, press control and add "v". This transfers all of Victoria's body settings to the dress. If this doesn't solve your problems, then you have a missing morph.

You don't say what version of Poser you are using. If it's 8 or better, you can use wardrobe wizard to transfer the morphs into the clothing, or you can use the stand-alone utility Morcloth to do the job.

Hope this helps. If it doesn't ask for clarification. I or someone here will be happy to help.

Conform the dress to the figure. To do this:

  1. click on the dress
  2. Click on "Figure" then "Conform to"
  3. Select Victoria 4 from the list
  4. Click OK.

The garment is conformed.

OK...

  1. Click on Victoria
  2. On the body-part menu, select "Body"
  3. Hit ctrl-C
  4. Click on the bikini
  5. On the body-part menu select "Body"
  6. Hit ctrl-V

If the morph does not activate, that means the body builder is NOT in the bikini and you'll have to transfer it. Let's cross that bridge when we get to it.

Online Now!

Try this. Select the bikini, and then go to the Pose library, then the DAZ's Victoria 4/Magnetize Clothing folder and apply the first magnetize pose. Then if necessary, select the bottoms and apply the magnetize pose to them as well. The magnetize pose should adjust the clothing to fit a bit better.
That's what it looks like it needs to me.

That was going to be my next suggestion to him. Great minds... :)
