I'm currently using DS3 Advance and don't have DS4 yet because I'm waiting for the 64bit version (and hopefully a better GUI, most likely as a plugin/addon).
If you are using DS4 32bit version to render then it cannot access more than 3.2GB of RAM so that maybe why the render is taking so long. Any 32bit program (even if run on a 64bit system) cannot access more than 4GB of RAM (and Windows need approx 0.8GB of RAM to run in the background). This is because of the original design limits of the 32bit system the program was made for.
Another reason renders in DS (all versions) take a long time to render is because of shadows rendering through transperancy maps in hair and eyelashes. This doesn't seem to cause an issue to Poser but to DS it does cause really long render times. I remember reading a walk around for this in Daz forum so check there for further info.
On the right side of the DAZ/studio 4 UI you should see a column with several tabs on it.
One of these is the Content Library. Right-click this tab and you'll get a list of options. One of these is the Search Harddrives for files. Another is Scan Known Directories. Each of these will bring up options to get your stuff.
Also, the column on the left side will offer you access to context sensitive tutorial videos. THese are a great help.

Hi.. I had no problems to find the poser runtimes throught daz studio 3 preferences.. But I can't find how to import in D|S 4:-(
Somebody who can explain it to me??
And I also have a question about D|S lights.. I have a new computer and 4 cpu and 12 gigabyte RAM.. I tried to render latios light, but it took almost 40 minutes to complete 8 % so I gave up and closed:-))
IS there ANY good lights for use in D|S that don't take "100 years" to render??
