Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
Sorry for the multiple posts.
I was wondering what was going on....thought maybe you were having some hand spasms as you were posting ;). Just joking...lol - we need more old timers to come back. Not all that many of us around anymore...hehe ;).
I wish I could help you with the grouping thing. I know PhilC has a store product that will help you to make your groups. Can't remember what the name of it is currenly...lol. Obj2Cr2 or something like that ;).

Um, several questions.
aaannnnnnnnnd never mind. Simple suggestion: go have a look at PhilC's tutorial on figure grouping and rigging.

I think you are almost there. If I may make a suggestion, select the suit, go to Figure > Zero figure. Now go to Edit > Memorize > Figure. This will take out the preset bends that are messing up your conforming.
Next use the joint editor to increase the size of some of the fall off zones slightly. Looks like they are not quite enclosing all the mesh where required. (My video tutorial will explain the details).
Hope that helps.
With a few adjustments, I just tried the same exercise with the G2 male and the development rig. I think this is a much better start. I'll make a few more stabs at P5 Don, but it looks like there is more support for more recent figures. I see there are development rigs for the bones included for the more recent figures.
If you look in Smith MicroPoser 9RuntimePythonposerScriptsPhilCWardrobe Wizard P9data you'll see a boat load of CR2 files that can be used as development files. P5 Don is amongst them.
Or take what you have and use Wardrobe Wizard to convert from Don to Don and have the script apply it to your model for you.
:)
Quote - sorry - tried to preview my post, ended up posting several blanks.
Bottom line - Been away from Poser but just got Poser 9 and am returning. Feeling retro for my old version, I tried to model a bodysuit as a base for P5 Don clothes. Had problems both when I grouped it outside of Poser and when I used Poser's autogroup in the setup room. Had fewer problems with V4 and other more recent models. Just wondering if P5 Don might be inherently troublesome.
I took care of your blank ones :)

Wardrobe wizard is fantastic. I saw on your webpage that you have an upgrade version and support for more figures. There are so many additional utilites in WW that I'll be reading the manual all weekend just for it. If I just bought Poser 9, which version of WW do I have?
Plus! I also just saw on page 532
Make Art
: Provides a tongue in cheek solution to the often asked question of how Poser may be used to create art.
Thanks :)
Poser 8 and later basically have Wardrobe Wizard version 2.15 in them. The updates were primarily to integrate it into each version of Poser. The latest addition was to include weight mapping compatibility in Poser 9.
Yes the "Make Art" button is still there and still works. You did click on it I hope :)
