Subject: Remapped Nursoda Characters? Anyone?

pokeydots ( ) posted Mon, 19 March 2012 at 7:55 PM · edited Tue, 24 December 2024 at 8:41 AM

Has anyone remapped any of Nursoda's characters, to work better with ezskin? Most of them don't have seperate material zones for teeth lips etc.

That would require adding material zones more than remapping. You really wouldn't need to touch the mapping ;). I might give one a shot, just to see how it goes. :)

I meant to say adding material zones, I might give it a try tomorrow and see how it goes. If I do this, will I just need to make the cr2 file point to the object with the new material zones for it to work properly?  Thanks :)

Yes, use the figure's object file, add the material zones, save under a different name. Copy the original cr2, name it something different and point it to your new object file. Set everything up in Poser and resave to the library.

Anceata-Semil  was pretty easy to add new zones too, Nursoda has everything seperated, so all I had to do was select the parts and add the new material zones :) Hope his others are as easy to do!

Okay, there is a problem when I add the new material zones, when I save the new figure to the library, or as a PZ3 when I load it into poser, it has added back some of the old materials on top of the new ones I made. Now I am stumped on how to do this :(

You'll have to edit out the old material zones that you removed from the OBJ from the new CR2 as well.

LaurieA ( ) posted Tue, 20 March 2012 at 8:30 PM · edited Tue, 20 March 2012 at 8:33 PM

Yeah pokeydots, just remove the material zone and all the info for it from the .cr2. Real easy :). Just remember to make a copy of your cr2 before you edit in case you fudge something :P

I've done Eepo. If it ever renders I'll show it...lol.
