Subject: creating my own texture in daz studio

i would like to know how i can edit my own texture in daz studio ,do i have to create uv map or the texture can be apply directly to the figure or objects for texture editing  i have genetica base3.0 and i have the fabricator.creating my own fabric or clothing would be fantastic

All items in DS should already be UV mapped, though you will need a template if the item doesn't use tiling textures. For the Fabricator a tiling output from Genetica should be fine, but on some items you will want to distort the pattern over the surface to avoid stretching. There's a new script in the DAZ Studio Freepozitory on the DAZ forums that will output a UV template
