[ South East Asian Duel (Poses, Prop, Scripts)](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=68397) available in the Renderosity Freepozitory.

Deep in the Asian jungle they face each other across the clearing, each armed with a pair of dha, the long-handled, slightly curved, single edged swords of the region. A sudden lunge with a powerful right hand blow - the opponent ducks and blocks deflecting the vicious swing overhead. The right-hand counterattack was anticipated and is solidly blocked too. But who are the two combatants? Any pair of these 28 supported figures...

  • DAZ Gen 3: Aiko 3, David, Hiro 3, Laura 3, Luke 3, Michael 3, Stephanie Petite 3, The FREAK, The Girl, Victoria 3.
  • DAZ Gen 4: Michael 4, Victoria 4 (should work with all variants, e.g. Aiko 4, etc)
  • DAZ Gen 5: Genesis (base figure),
  • Poser 5: P5 Don, P5 Judy.
  • Poser 6: P6 James, P6 Jessi, Miki 2.
  • Poser 7: G2 James, G2 Jessi.
  • Sixus 1:  Behemoth, PH Female, PH Male.
  • Others: Antonia, Apollo, F202 Dollie, Kirwyn's K, MayaDoll.

You need to have DAZ Studio or Poser, and the figures, facial expressions, hair, clothing and jungle (or other) scenery already in your library.
This set provides you with the swords and two poses, plus a couple of handy (pun intended!) scripts.

What's Included:
Sword Prop (Poser 6 PP2 / DAZ Studio DSA): a sword prop with 8 morphs. The geometry (500 faces) is in an external OBJ file. (The DAZ script loads the Poser prop with DS mats automatically applied)
Sword Texture (1024x1024 JPGs): a basic rattan & steel sword texture (texture map, bump map, and UV template (PNG) included)
Sword Mats (DAZ Studio DSA material preset / Poser 6 MC6): a basic rattan & steel sword texture (1024x1024 bump/texture JPGs)
Hand Poses (Poser 6 HD2): A single sword grip hand pose for each of the 28 supported figures. (N.B. some of them aren't very good at all!)
Full Body 'Paired' Poses (Poser 6 PZ2): Two poses for each of the 28 supported figures. The Hip parameters of each pose are set so that when used together the poses will be facing each other with the sword blades clashing.
Full Body 'Solo' Poses (Poser 6 PZ2): Identical to the paired poses, except that the Hip is only adjusted vertically (to put the feet on the ground) and not rotated.
Partial Poses (Poser 6 PZ2): Upper/lower body only versions of each of the two poses for each figure, to combine with other poses from your library.
*Sword Smart+ Script: Effectively a smartprop sword that automatically applies the correct sword grip hand pose.
*PropGoto+ Script: Similar to the Smart+ script, but using a sword prop that's already loaded.
(All DAZ Script and PoserPython files are in plain ASCII text format for you to examine, rework, laugh at, etc)

*The PoserPython scripts probably won't work with later versions than Poser 6 due to their use of the Poser 6 PoserPython User Interface. For this reason I've included versions of both PoserPython scripts with all User Interface elements removed - these may or may not get around the problem (if there is one). These scripts are clearly marked as Test versions.

*Tested with Poser 6, DAZ Studio 3 and DAZ Studio 4 on a Windows 7 PC.

And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

*also available in ShareCG, DAZ, and HiveWire3D flavours (the DeviantArt and CGBytes flavour have been discontinued).

I originally created the paired pose for Michael 3. The versions for the other figures are all based on them, but are individually adjusted (mostly the arms and legs) so the the sword-clash points remain roughly the same. You may need to adjust the 'Side-Side' or 'Twist' dial on the hand by a degree or two to get proper sword-clash if neither figure is Michael 3 (or alternatively use the 'Straighten Blade' morph).

The 'PropGoto+' and 'Dha Smart+' scripts basically turn the dha into a smartprop (i.e. position, orient and parent it correctly in the selected hand of the selected figure), **and automatically apply the hand pose to grasp the prop** (that's the 'plus' part). The 'PropGoto+' script is for use on a prop already in the scene, whereas the 'Dha Smart+' version loads the prop first.

Scripts are in plain text format - feedback on the Poser versions to this thread in the PoserPython scripting forum please.

And here's the sword prop, a South East Asian '*dha*'.
