Subject: How does a figure grab cloth?

I am learning how to use the cloth room and now know how to make clothes drape on a posed figure but how do I make it so that the person can grab the clothes and lift them as if to remove the clothes? I have poser 6 by the way. Any good step by step tutorials you know of?

One trick I use is the drape the item over a cone and run the sim from there. Remove the cone and place the top of the simmed object in the figure's hand!

Constraints?

Or am I reaching?

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

I am wondering how this would work in an animation?

If you need to move cloth attached to the hand try this:

1 move hand to cloth

2 constrain the cloth vertices to the hand where it touches the cloth

3 run sim. the cloth will stay attached to the hand during the sim but flow as normal everywhere else.

I will have to try this. Is there a way to run the simulation before the hand gets close to grab is without the constaint? Then after the constraint finishes it's job can you turn it off again and continue the animation?

Certainly. The easiest would be to make three seperate animations and string them together in your video editor but Poser would happily do it all in one single animation.
