I have installed the Dyson stuff and the G2 female. I then bought an outfit for her. Everything installed as instructed.

But why do clothes take so long to be loaded? I opened the file, chose the suit - which appeared on the screen, and was about to select "conform to ..." when a "projection" panel opened. At the time of typing this is has been 'projecting' for 21 minutes and still not finished.

Question - is this normal? Or have I done something wrong?

Yes this is "normal"

Your error was expecting much of anything else.

That DSON thing is sketchie.

So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?

Go into the importer preferences (script > daz/dson/whatever) and turn off the progress bar. It will still take a minute (or less/more depending on your system), but turning that bar off can usually help things out.

21 minutes cannot be normal.

For me, an outfit usually takes about 4 or 5 seconds for each figure in the outfit. Genesis itself may take a minute or two because I have a ton of morphs installed.

Depending on the speed of your machine, it may take more or less time. But I'd be shocked to find that 21 minutes was normal, even for lower end machines.

Thank you for the replies.

Second problem ... Having got the outfit to load and conform I find the figure's bust poking through. Normally the outfit can be adjusted to fit using the dials for the chest or body - but with the Genesis outfit there are no such dials - and again - have I done something wrong, or is this normal? In which case how do I adjust clothing to fit? Sorry if this is all elementary stuff, but I can't find a "how to do it" anywhere.

You should find an option "Transfer active morphs" in the DSON menu. That menu is under the 'Scripts' menu in Poser. I would use it after you get the model posed for the best results.

If you notice the OP's image, Genesis is still subdivided which explains why the outfit is taking longer to conform.  After importing Genesis/Genesis2, you must go back to the DSON script and select zero subdivision, otherwise anything you attempt to do will impact on Poser's reaction time and speed.
