Hi just wanted some help with fixing the issue shown in the image below re the conformed cloth item on V4.

It seems something in the joint zones, so can anyone tell where to fix this is PP2014

This is assuming a non-weightmapped figure.

  1. select the body part that is causing the problem and figure out if it is the bend, twist or side to side (i find it's best to work with the body part moved so you can see when the problem is fixed.)
  2. next, select that same body part on the clothes.
  3. open the joint editor and select the offending dial in the drop down menu on the window
  4. under props, select innermatsphere
  5. adjust the scales so you don't have those points.
  6. repeat for all offending joints
  7. once you do one side of the body,  select the clothing and go to figures>symmetry > right to left (if you worked on the right otherwise do left to right) and when it asks if you want to copy the joint zones say yes

What causes it is poor rigging.  Those issues are caused by the falloff zones not being rigged properly.  RedPhantom's instructions will help you fix them.

Is this converted clothing? The conversion process can cause those rigging issues.

Hey Redphantom thanks so much, would you have a few images I could follow?

Yes I converted it in the fitting room, because I wanted the morphs added to the figure from V4, the figure did not have all the morphs I wanted.

Oh, you didn't have to do that.  If you want morphs in the clothing that exist in V4, it's simple......... Load V4 and inject your morphs

Load and conform the clothing

With the Clothing>Body selected on the Figure dropdown menu, go to Figure>Copy Morphs From

Select V4.

You will be presented with a list of the morphs in V4 and you can pick and choose or just transfer them all.

That's how you get the morphs in.

Ok thanks, I wanted the auto conforming morphs is there something to make this happen?

Load the garment and select the body.

Go to the properties tab.

There is a section there labelled "when conforming". Just tick them all.

Your garment should now behave as auto conforming.
