Subject: Rederosity Purchases do not show

Michaelangelo7 ( ) posted Tue, 25 October 2016 at 8:16 PM · edited Tue, 07 January 2025 at 8:55 PM

I have purchased a few bits and pieces and morphs etc. I put them in my library but they do not show up. I have no idea. I read the 'Ream me' doc attached to each purchase but nope.. not there. Anyone had this issue with DAZ 4.9? I have removed all the content I tried to add to minimize confution once I get an answer or work it out.

If you haven't already tried this, unzip everything into a new folder (name it anything you want), then use the Content Directory Manager to add the folder as a content library. To do that click on the icon to the top right of the content tabs, that looks like three lines with a cursor arrow on it. Then click on "Content Directory Manager", then select "Daz Studio Formats" and then click the button that says "add". Navigate to the location of the new content folder and click "select folder". The new content folder should now show as a new content library in your Daz Studio Format section of the Content Library pane.

(When you unzip the stuff into the new folder, don't move or rearrange anything, just unzip it as-is).

Adding a new folder as a content directory, provided it isn't inside an existing content directory, will work for most things (not morph expansions for fourth generation Daz figures, such as Victoria 4, or other figures that use the ExP system) but can, in the long run, generate an unwieldy list. Ultimately, whether in a new content directory or an old, you need to have the Runtime, Data, and any sibling folders (Props, People etc. from the same level of the zip) in your content directory, where they will merge with any existing folders if it isn't a new directory.

I will give it a go now
