They were probably from zips that you unzipped directly into the content directory you were using (My Library or My Daz 3d Library). It's perhaps not entirely fair to say the creators are doing it wrong, but you do need to be aware that if the zip has a placeholder for the content directory you don't want to keep that when you install the files.
There are quite of a number of zips which have My Library as the primary folder. I suspect that those creators do not use DIM installer which does use My DAZ 3d Library as the primary folder. There is no wrong here, both Library structures are perfectly acceptable, however, creators should be aware of this discrepancy and refrain from using either of these folders, and content folder as well, and just provide the necessary install folders within the zip. I often had to reach deeper into the folder hierarchy to correctly install DAZ content into my Library.

Does anyone know what causes directory problems with Daz3d Studio. I recently purchased a product from another site (not Daz) and when I tried to use it there were all sorts of problems. It turned out that my directories were all screwed up. I had 3 My Daz 3d Library's as well as multiple MyLibrary directories. Once I merged all the directories down to one each everything worked great. My question is how did these multiple directories get created in the first place? One person suggested that the problem was with content creators who do not know how to set up a proper install file. Any thought?????
