Has anyone had any experience with this catalogue program? I am getting desperate as I have so many resources that to be truthful, I simply can not remember what I have...... I would appreciate any input.

I can't vouch for this particular program but I do have a database that I maintain which is no longer on sale. It allows me to add all my content along with the date, vendor, category and content detail. Mine is manual so I have to update it as I add content but this looks automatic although I cannot see if it maintains all the data my database does.

As to it's use, well I would be lost if I did not have the database. I can quickly scan to see if I already have a product, as this product will, before you purchase which seems small as a marketplace usually keeps a log of you purchases but mine has saved me money on more than one occasion. This is usually because I have purchased the content at a different marketplace but on some occasions it has also been because the marketplace logging has failed for some reason. It is also great for finding content, as this program would be, when I want to finish a scene, I am maybe short of a spacecraft, a room is short of a clock or a light. It surprises me if a I do a search on a prop such as a clock on how many exists in my runtime, some props in their own right and some part of some other content. Finally, should any of my content become corrupted my database shows when it was purchased and, as I keep all my zips in a year folder with monthly sub folders it is easy to find the original zip and reinstall the content.

As I said, I cannot vouch for this particular program but from my experience it should provide enough to make the cost well worth the investment.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

I've never heard of Content Cataloger PRO. Here are some other suggestions:

  • RSR to PNG Converter: Whatever content library manager you use, first run this Windows freeware to make sure you have visual thumbnail previews for all your older content. Load it then point it at your ../runtime (not your ../content) folder; select ‘recursive’ and let it run (there’s no indication it’s running) for about 30 to 60 minutes. It will inspect each item, and if it finds there is no preview thumbnail for it, it will make one.

  • PzDB: I use PzDb on a vast 20-year runtime and am happy with it. Version 1.3 also had partial success in cataloguing DAZ .duf files and similar. There's a free trial. One simply drags and drops from PzDB to Poser, and this works fine with the latest Poser 11.2 version.

  • D3D’s XL – Extended Library. Was reported as broken by Poser 11.2, but also reported was that someone was working on a fix.

  • P3DO. Another one that broke with Poser 11.2 but there's a fix.

Those are the three known Poser library managers that I would consider, if I were a new user.
