Well, I followed one of the tutorials recommended to me earlier in another string. What I did was model a costume in another 3D program, then exported each body part as a separate OBJ file. In Poser, I imported each part and replaced a body part with it each time. I used the Hierarchy Editor and created a new figure fine. But the problem is, when I bend the body parts, there are still some slight gaps between them. Sometimes there are gaps, sometimes none. It depends on how I rotate the limbs. Is this because of the way I split the body parts in the modeling program? Should I overlap body parts as I make them? Thanks.

A CR2 file calling up an OBJ file containing body part grouping includes "Weld" lines in its script. Replacing body part with prop does not. The solution is to either write a hierarchy (PHI) file and bring the model into Poser that way or edit an existing CR2 to point to your model. Do this by opening a suitable CR2 file in a text editor. Then search for the two instances of the OBJ file path. Rewrite these for your new OBJ.

I imported several OBJ files (one for each body part). Does this mean I must point to all of them in the CR2 file? Thanks a lot!

Strange, but I peeked into the CR2 file of the new figure I made (replacing body parts with props) and I did see the "weld" lines in the code. But I'll do as you said and try writing a PHI file with PHI Builder.

Well, OK.... I re-exported the separate body parts as a isngle OBJ file, then re-imported it again. (I got this from a tute.) Then, I created a new figure. I used an existing CR2 file (P4NudeMan) and made it refer to my OBJ file. I did this twice and noticed that the gaps are still there, sometimes. They appear as I move the limbs. Also, some whole body parts are missing as you can see!
