I wonder how many others have this problem. The problem, the BIG problem is a certain system admin person who, for one, has seen fit to turn the volume down on monitors capable of 16 million colours, to six colours. Theyve also locked us out so we cant change it, all the full stops look like TelleTubies and my unauthorised install and test run of Thornworks Peridot looks like she appeared to me in an LSD-tailored dream. Im puting this to other forums as well.

I think he means a work network system where an administrator with control adjusted the monitors, probably to keep them from playing at work. I'm more concerned with the "unauthorised install .... of peridot" That either means unauthorised by the job to download and install components (very very liekly) or Peridot is a commercial model that has been acquired in a round about way. I lean towards the downloaded into work computer scenario because it fis what else was said... Still, an odd rambling post...

quite right lady.. perhaps the individual should keep Poser and all on his home computer.. Peridot was a free download quite a while ago, and currently unavailiable as far as I know... Thorne did a wonderful job on her 8 )

heh if he's playing at work it's no wonder they lowered the colour... I'm off to bed now, my typos are getting out of control and I'm exhausted..

Dohh!! That probably is why the colours have been lowered, and I also cant get the firms austere and stupid logo off my desktop. How did they know? George Orwell was right about TOO many things. The copy of Poser installed on the pc was one I purchased for the Mac legit about a year ago, I have a receipt and a serial number. I downloaded Peri on the 4th of June 2000, free, and have not purchased same or offered the file for sale. Technically I should not have taken them on discs to work but I just had to hoon with the pc and see what it could do my favourite file and application. My diary for that time says that I had in fact arranged to have both on the network that week for just that purpose, with the admins full knowledge and sort-of permission, so it wasnt an illegal installation on the network at all. As I write the dual platform CD is back in my office, the 1.4 now has a Powerpoint on it and the maintainance people have seen to the HD. Its just a total bummer I couldnt see it at 100 percent.

oh.. there was no implication of illegality in my comment 8 ) just some work places are a bit stricter on what ye can have on the computers.... I can run graphics programmes and even do downloads from work as it's a vwery fast line.. but they frown on wnything that's resource heavy.. as I have to bounce from page to page whilst dealing with customers 8 ) and ye have to admit.. the Net admin is kinda like "god" in there 8 ) at least in their minds 8 ) pleasant dream lady 8) about the largest drawback to Poser on a networked machine is teh resource drain it places with it's memory leaks 8 heh heh.. I got Peri about the same time 8 )
