hi, i am hoping some of the experts here can tell me how i can keep an object ( the main subject ) in my render sharp and in focus if i use depth of field as in a photo,
i have tried selecting the object (ie it is the only object with red wire frame), :>) help please!!

Sorry but I can't clearly understand your problem. Did you used the DOF in the render options? And if so did you check the option to "current selection"?

P.S. "to current selection" is the grey button under the values of the camera settings of the DOF

And rendering has to be set to Premium.

Even when using the options for DOF to set the focal point, the object used, will still be slightly blurred ( even more so if it's a group ) I do a DOF render, then a regular render, than an object mask render. And use Photoshop to combined the two renders using the mask.

Size matters.Make all your objects rather large and do the "to current selection" and start with a lens radius of .01 and go up from there. The above URL shows some simple examples. HTH-Dan
