Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Somebody is going to be rendered helpless, but not that maiden. :innocent whistle: I agree with Lyrra. The foot on the left (her right foot) should be straightened, otherwise her hip and knee would have to turn more, and they are best left where they are. I'd also be tempted to roughen up the floor plane a bit (Dr Geep has just posted a great tutorial on using the wave deformer) so that she'd be rising out of the darkness, but there are times when simplicity is best. From the male reaction, you are succeeding in rev'ing a few engines. ;^) What did you render in? Carolly
Kbran nice work there for a newbie! Try turning the IK off as well if you are having trouble with lower body poses. Dan Farr is the president of DAZ :-D

Because they are Kath ;) But some of us are not so young. Turning the IK chains off for the legs helps allot sometime when posing. At the bottom of the display you will see two menus, select the figure your posing and then select the body. Then on the top bar click on Windows and from that menu select Hierarchy Editor. A Pop up window will appear, scroll down it to find the legs and click on the boxes next to right leg and left leg. That will turn off the IK chains for the legs. Then close that pop up. Now you will be able to work the legs the same as the arms, another words when you select the thigh on the figure and move the Bend dial, it will bend the thigh up or down. Unlike before where you had to move the foot to do it. It works better in some cases. You can also do the opposite for the hands if you want to move the hand and have the arm follow.
kbran turning on & offing IK is in your manual - page 112 learning about IK starts on 111 IK in animation is on page 207 but there is a large animation section in the glossary of the manual - That should help a bit - me I don't touch animation - no way no how lol

I think that purchasing P5 at this point is a personal choice - many love it others (myself included) won't touch it a this point. I'd suggest reading up on seeing if the major issues that would concern you have been dealt with and making your decisions based on those - rather than personal recommendations. I had people recommend it to me only to turn around and reinstall P4 and tell me they were sorry for recommending it. I simply keep an eye on the sr beta forum here to see what issues are still present and if it's worth it to me - currently it isn't. Maybe someday it will be.
