Description

Took the kids to the zoo yesterday. GOt a zoo membership at the Los Angeles zoo so take the kids anytime for a year now! I support the breeding programs they have there... this is a strait shot not a collage. the birds were almost that color I only did a slight saturation on it. I Was only there and hour with four kids so couldnt do much..Next time I will try when the kids are in school so i can concentrate.. hard to focus with four kids spinning around you!!. haha could have been that CHRISSY was pulling me half the time COme on MOM, let's go see the next animal put that camera down!! LOL..shes a bit tired of my attention of the camera and wants more attention . Sometimes I wonder if I should just put it away at times . and sometimes I do but the pull is still there to shoot like a calling for me. Hard to explain. well I did this shot of two flamingos next to the falls cause i loved the long necks by the waterfall...and played with it alot today I hope not too much!!...These guys were really bright pink I think they have eaten too much shrimp!... Forgive me I have been so behind on comments this week the kids had fall break and things got a bit creazy... thanks for your time and comments! big hugs! .. ♥ luv, kimmers!

I love these birds. Remind me of so many surreal paintings other artists use them in they art like the one a artist was useing his Flamingo to hit a ball. lol but your image is a photo and a very good photo too

I love the contrast between the birds and the background waterfalls. How could you ever give all of it up? Especially with your wonderful smudging talent that makes everything look fabulous! I'll be looking forward the next one :)

Fantastic Kimmers, you did a fabulous job with the postwork. Never get tired of looking at these birds, but don't get much of an opportunity around here. The last time I saw any was at DisneyWorld and that was quite along time ago. V

Wonderfull colored pic! What they give to eat for these colors! In my country flamingos are free in the nature!if they eat some food or an other, they don't have the same colors!

Gorgeous photo Kimmie!!!! Really beautiful. You blended these birds together with that waterfall really nicely!!! Gorgeous flow on that water, is that postwork or did you really have your shutter set to that perfect speed? I so know what you mean about not being able to put down your camera. Last weekend, when i was out in "the swedish outback" i took 300 shots in 2 days...everybody was quite sick of me i reckon. Except Eija of course. For her it only means her walks take longer time to finish, which she loves, lol. Have a great day. #:O)
