Description

OK, after yesterday's bird's view back to the valley, ascending meter after meter! We can see the Fiescher Gletscher bending to the right. Apparently this glacier has shrunk (like the other glaciers we have seen), the bare rock without grass shows the size of the shrinkage. Unfortunately no red dots to give an impression of the sizes. The high top on the background is the Klein Wannenhorn (3707 m, 12612 ft) with a very little glacier in front of it. We are here at approximately 1600 meters (5250 ft). The grey line down there is a part of the track that's made with ... concrete. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Hi Jan Carl, On first, I wish you a fabulous 2006... I'm happy to retrieve you as well as your art. I have so much work that I have no time to come on the web... I hope that in february it will be a little softer than now.... Have a nice day my dear friend, god bless you, G.

WOW - look at those tall sharp peeks... Looks forbidden from your shot, the stuff Lord of the Rings is made of...

I sometimes wonder whether future generations will ever see the Alps as I have known them and as you show them so beautifully. I read of a study saying that Switzerland will soon (not in my lifetime) end up with the ecology the South of France has to day :-((

Well, it appears the Swedish people just LOVE to climb these mountains. Glad you do because we'd never get a chance to see things like this. Amazing image and story line. I always look forward to your uploads. Their so informaltable.

The views you select and present are always awesome. The intense blue sky is in remarkable contrast with the flat grey landscape, and it brings out the depth beautifully in this shot.

Before to read you comment on this photography, I was thinking that this glacier is really so small... That's so sad, they are disapearing everywhere. I would like to see a shot of the same place 30 years ago... I'm shure it was very different ! Anyway, it's another impressive mountain Jan-Carel. I'm tired just looking the top of this one ;o))))) I will die climbing with you ;o)))) Have a wonderful evening. Hugs.

Beautiful blue Sky, LOL No incredible shot of a landscape where I realy would like to wander around. A fantastic view and photo, a red dot would have helped to understand the dimensions of the glaciers etc in deed (LOL) Have a very nice evening, Henk
