Description
Here is Hillbark Hotel, where we spent the evening.
It has been completely restored, where previously it was becoming derelict and at that time until it became unsafe and the new proprietors bought it, they used to hold Shakesperian plasy there in the open air, each summer.
The food was absolutely exquisite.
Fillet steak with a Cafe de Paris Sauce and chicken liver pate with vegetables.
To do justice to the piccies, I will be posting in 4s like this for a few days, until I get my comments up to date.
Every part of the building that you see here is original, except for the dining tables, which have polished granite tops.
The chairs are all leather.
The inset of me and Cathy was taken at La Bodega, in Hoylake, my favorite bar.
We went there for an "after dinner" drink! lol
For those of you in the UK, Chris Evans stayed here, during the Open Golf Championship, as well as some golfers playing in the tornament.
