I started Brycing in November of 2003 after being introduced to it through the owner of www.mulawa.net, Peter Hewitt. He created a set of tutorials and sent a group of us a book called Advanced Bryce Creations. His generoisity has led to many hours of joy for me as I create the images you will see in my gallery.
I was able to start Brycing because I no longer worked as a CAD drafter at the local foundry which lost most of its business to overseas businesses. My husband supports me for the time being but says when he retires, I get to go back to work so we have health insurance. We will see :D
Stats: Female, married, no children, brown hair, hazel eyes, glasses, drink Bacardi Limon and diet Pepsi(have since given this up...I still miss it, lol), love to golf, camp, play PC games and Bryce. I used to love to tend my garden so that's where my nick came from...Burpee Seeds.
Boring? Maybe but I'm happy :)

I'm sure in the melee you end up picking up whatever shield is around. Superb concept and execution here, well done!

That's absolutely AWESOME, Nancy!!! :))

Great sense of movement. Well done. As for the shields, that depends on the date of your image. If this is the fall of Rome in the late 4th century then the Roman would look very different, probably clad all in chainmail with a large oval shield.

A magnificant battle.... I agree it does look like a wonderful oil painting.... Great Image. Karen :)

Wow that's a superb scene, the action you've got across here is stunning, top work indeed.

This does an excellent job of getting the feeling of the action across. Great posing of the figures, excellent details. Being something of a history buff, I admire the details in the armor and shields. I really like this one.

Are you sure it shouldn't be called, "The Triumph of the Barbarians?" grin. Historical accuracy can always be tricky in a picture. I remember having Normandy D-Day stripes painted on some fighter planes in the Pacific Theater. Sigh! Even when we try so hard, it happens. Still a fine picture.
