Description
this is the state line of Oklahoma and Texas.you are looking toward Texas.I have never seen the river this high and Lake Texoma, Denison Dam just to the right about 4 miles has only been so high twice since it was built in the 1940's.it has been over flowing the overflow dam with the main gates wide open.the bridge is a railroad and the US Highway 75 is just to the right.of course before the dam was built the river left it's banks many times flooding the valley for miles in both directions
thanks for having a look and any comments

So this is where all that much needed rain has gone! It always seems to fall in the same place and drought other areas instead of falling equally. Truly amazing high water.

Amazing work--that perspective is so true to the feel of about to cross over the bridge--eerie with the water rising like that..powerful image !

A lonely sentinel linking the two states and allowing passage. Perhaps it has out lived the primary purpose for which it was designed. For there is no indication of expansion and little sign of care. Yet it quietly and dutifully stands and performs its purpose.
