Description

HELLO ALL! OK i definately don't think of any of these as gallery worthy and not crazy about this quick collage BUT SO many of you have written and sent warm thoughts and well wishes I wanted to give you an update here . SO putting this little collage of shots up to let you know we are safe and our home is not burned . Luckily we are in an area that didn't get hit . But up on the hill many have lost their homes . This one family just finished remodeling last week and their home is a complete loss.. The huge hurricane type winds have finally died down ( about 13 mph rather then 70- 90 ) and they are getting it more under control here... but fires are still raging all over the state and President Bush is coming here tommorrow. California has right now the largest evacuation ever and around 1000's have lost homes. I think of all the animals and people homeless now and my heart and prayers go out to them today . Kids are finally back in school but not allowed to play outside as there is still a red flag alert due to smoke conditions that can effect health. Still looks like a hurricane hit the yard is a complete mess from the winds !!! These pics were taken from my pocket cam on Sunday night on my way to go pic up dinner from inside the car . ( taken in Canyon Country Cal - our fire was the fastest spread they said and one person died) They are not the best quality so I had to soften up the grain a little on them . IT was too crazy to think about getting out the tripod and gear and I knew the kids were worried about me being out . but putting them up cause so many of you wrote and reached out and I am blessed by your love and support so thought I would share this today and leave room for comments ... Love to you all!! ((( BIG hugs ))) ~ Kimmers ! :O) ~ ♥

We in Sweden are following the disaster - many times every day. My very first entry point into United States was San Diego. As a sailor in 1954 - 53 years ago - at the age of sixteen. Mats

When fire breaks out, meêm is it is not a question of that of the sky, I think of the thousands of carbonized animals, which did not have time to flee or of entérrer, I think the most stripped of whose living conditions become catastrophic, and I think of all these children, obliged to give up, who his room, which its toys, which its drawings... I alas think also of all these adults who are all losing... and with mournings and with bléssés that these fires are likely to create. That God keeps you Kimarie and your small family!!!

Sad, sad, and a big catastrophy for many. I am so happy that you are safe Kimmers. You send great photos, and we can follow on TV every day. my heart goes out to people losing their homes, and of course also to you. Even if you ate safe you must be worried and full of sorrow for a destructed landscape and houses.May God be with you and your family (and everybody else)

This morning the Sacramento Bee announced that 1 million people had been evacuated/displaced, and an estimated 1800 homes lost; that could change though because in some areas it was still too dangerous to go in to count things. There is something about living under an orange sky that is bothersome. I know because when our wildfires are raging to the north of us, we get that here. Fortunately, we do not seem to be in a high fire danger area in Sacramento. Just hang on to your skirts and things will work out fine. I'd be more worried about crime going up in your area than the fires. The fires bring out the looters and other bad apples and so the area gets more disreputable people lurking about.
