Description


Just beyond the forest trees is Kilauea Caldera. The pit crater or hole is called Halemaumau where I have seen much eruption in the past. It has been quiet these past years and much of the volcano activity has moved on to another hot spot. Aloha and thank you for viewing

very impressive landscape Errol.the forest recovers quickly.they say that forest fires actually helps the forest have new growth that otherwise would not happen.in the Philippines, the government has problems keeping the farmers from returning to the active lava fields to do their farming while sitting on a powder keg

It looks so flat. I always expect some towering peak when I think of volcanoes... This is an amazing pov. Wonderful vulcan-scape.
