Description
Just beyond the forest trees is Kilauea Caldera. The pit crater or hole is called Halemaumau where I have seen much eruption in the past. It has been quiet these past years and much of the volcano activity has moved on to another hot spot. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Excellent landscape Errol. You get to watch your island being created. What strikes me about many of these shots is how fast nature recovers and things start growing again. Quite amazing.
