Description

took this last night.I was outside taking sunset pictures and quit.I noticed a glow while watching TV and flew on the roof.then the whole western sky was lit up I took my old dog yesterday to be put to sleep because he could hardly stand up and I know he was in lots of pain.I hated to do it.he was with me for 13 years and was 17 years old.I went to the shelter and got another dog also.she is a German Shepperd mix and very tall dog. My other dog was growling at her several times but they were playing last night thanks for viewing and any comments

Great that you've got another dog as a friend for the remaining one. I always have 3 so that when one goes the other's still got company! Super sky!!

Sky of fire! dear Richard. A sight to behold. I am sorry you lost your old dog. I know how much you love them. I am glad you have given another dog a home, Richard. He will have a good life with you. Glad both dogs are getting on well. Hugs for you all. Diane.

17 years old is pretty good, and hopefully all 17 were good ones. Always sucks to lose/let go of a pet family member...

Wow, what a beautiful sunset!!! Great color and you know all good dogs go to heaven don't you!!! Those tiny little clouds are your dog's steps to heaven's gate, so rest assured he/she is in no pain and will be sitting waiting till you can join

I like NytsMom's comment Richard, its nice to think along those lines and who knows why the sky lit up for you like this. Another excellent sunset Richard, you sure know how to capture them, this is spectacular, it really looks as if the sky is on fire. Bravo!!!!!

My condolences to you, Richard. It's always heartbreaking to lose a beloved pet, no matter how often one goes through it! I'm glad you have gotten yourself another dog to love. Best of luck with the transition. You captured a beautiful sunset, not often that we get to see the whole sky lit up like this!
