Description

took this last night.I was outside taking sunset pictures and quit.I noticed a glow while watching TV and flew on the roof.then the whole western sky was lit up I took my old dog yesterday to be put to sleep because he could hardly stand up and I know he was in lots of pain.I hated to do it.he was with me for 13 years and was 17 years old.I went to the shelter and got another dog also.she is a German Shepperd mix and very tall dog. My other dog was growling at her several times but they were playing last night thanks for viewing and any comments

I am so sorry to hear about your dog, but 17 years is quite old for a dog. We had a great terrier-mix who lived 14-15 years. We do not know for sure because she was a pound rescue. Anyway, she lived a good life as long as she was with us. I'm happy to hear you got another dog, and rescued at that. Wonderful! Dogs need a companion dog. Wonderful sky! I think it is a wonderful capture. ;o)

The sun always has one last hurrah. Our companions are temporary. Now I have the same hesitancy to strike up a conversation with a new dog as I do with pretty girls. The owners want extreme discipline in the same way as the women. If the dog is friendly or barks or begins jumping they act as if a school has collapsed.

Wonderful image Richard, very well done. I am so very sorry you had to take your puppy to have it put to sleep. I have had to do that and know how hard it is. Bless you my friend for selecting a puppy from the shelter who needs a home.
