Description
The sun coming out on a typical English railway scene of the Great Western Railway Era after a heavy storm. (Circa 1930's).
"Faster than fairies, faster than witches,
Bridges and houses, hedges and ditches.
And charging along like troops in a battle,
All through the meadows, the horses and cattle.
All of the sights of the hill and the plain,
Fly as thick as driving rain.

Models from Cornucopia. I fashioned the head code lamps from photographs and set them according to the GWR appendix to the rule book 1936. These lamps mean: 'Freight, Mineral or Ballast train or train of empties carrying through load to destination'.

I hope you don't take offence, to my reference to "Thomas" but I know millions of children all over the world grew up around steam locomotives and this is one MAGNIFICENT picture and a REAL pleasure to view.
