Description
I shot these images of the hyena pups at play a couple of years ago in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. There is a well known hyena den underneath the road in a stormwater pipe quite close to one of the camps. On this particular day there must have been about 30 plus hyenas in total of which about 20 were pups of different ages. It was early morning and they were frisky and playing with each other as well as irritating the adults. We must have been watching them for more than an hour. Unfortunately the images were scanned from color photographs and some quality got lost with the scanning. They are however, just too precious to discard!!!

A fascinating collection of Hyena-puppies photo's, must have been an exiting experience to see so many playing in a group!! Thanks for sharring this excellent collection!! BTW When I was in the army (it was obliged that time ---- long ago in Holland) we used a plastic "centimetre" which was 1 meter long to count-down the last hundred days ......... by cutting-off each day one centimetre!! and for the last 30 days we displayed it on our shirts!!!!!!!!
