Description

Hehe, this is my last upload of this dubious nature. I have been called names like dungographer and Renderosity has started a LWitDG (DON'T ask about the "D"! lol) Kidding aside: This is a manly dung beetle taking home a honeymoon present for his bride. She can be seen in a somewhat passive role on the other side of the ball. Her eggs will be laid inside. While making fun of this, bear in mind, these creatures spend a great deal of their lives in dung and therefore, out of respect,Ā  we don't drive over dung heaps in the bush.

Now you can relax, something moody and heavy next time, more on par with my age. anges022.gif

See you in the August forum challenge.

Thank you for silly comments, dung-eon humor and visits to my previous upload:

That is a very impressive present. I wish my hubby would stagger home with one as big, though I'd prefer it not to be dung. For someone who spends a lot of his life in dung he is amazingly shiny and clean.

Just exactly what a girl would want on her honeymoon! Let me count the ways you can have fun with dung. Ooh, er ... cooking, throw it at cars who kill critters and creatures and do not stop to help them, chase people with it on end of stick, draw with, stand in if it is still warm on a frosty morning. Obviously these are just some of the things the dung bugs do with poo. No seriously, what an incredible shot and what an amazing gallery you have, filled with the wonders of Africa. Incredible to see, thank you.

Even in the dung there is beauty. I wonder if the rest of the world will be that. Nice capture. JDoc
