Description
I drive up to see these people out the car and so close to the gators too. When the lady knee down to get a good pov shot of the gator I thought for sure that gator was going out of the water but she did not at the time. She have patience for sure. I was ready hopeing to get the face reactions as the gator going out the water at them. lol she waited and waited and I waited too then it happen .
She came out the water at them slowly. They faces was of terror and all the people ran. Here am thinking I was ready to get the shots of a life time as they faces shows the terror but I was all thumbs. I did not get no shots lol. Just one shot of one person out the cat as the gator comes into the photo. [middle left photo] you can just see the nose of the gator. Mom gator stop and looked around and then turn and came at my truck[right middle photo] The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I rolled up the window just in case gators can jump. I not sure and I did not want to find out the hard way. She looked at me a long time as you can see. She was about four feet from my truck. The other cars took off and just me and the gator lol. I thought she was telling me I the one that keep bring these people around to look at her. She then turn around and went back into the water.
I getting a rush just writeing this for it all real too. not made up. I beleive true is better that made up stuff. [well in sci-fi that a good thing to make things up]
If the gator did get some one I would not know what to do as there is two other gators in the water close by. You saw one of them yesterday checking out the crackers. I would have feel bad and helpless too. I not Tarzon the apeman as he can fight them with a kinfe. I have a gun but no bullets lol[going to buy some tomorrow]
sorry I got no shots of terror on they faces. maybe next time but I went out there yesterday and saw the rangers had spay the sides of the lake with weed killer. I did not see the gators. hope the eggs is hatch and all the babys is away from the area now.

They definitely can jump though I saw one do it in escape to get off a bank to a pond. About 6-8 feet up and falling back about 20 feet into the pond. There was only air where she went.

....these stupid humans drive it still so far, until the Gator mummy “gets herself” one of those! And then - the Gator mummy is hunted! The stupid ones do not become extinct! Uniquely beautiful photos of the “mummy”!

Lucky you were, to have the gator stay still for you like that for the one in the lower left. It's excellent. I think you might be right, if she starts to remember you're there and then others stop each time, she might connect the two in her brain. I hope the babies are ok because weed killers are some nasty stuff.

Wonderful shot Jock. What i think i great.. is that you show with this Alligator series.. How brain dead humans really are. But i understand the dilemma.. these jurassic reptiles are very fascinating. People should show more respect for the animals... and keep a distance. They sure ask for trouble.....+5

Your documentary is stellar. I am totally amazed. Are these locals, do you know? I know even locals can be intelligence-challenged (dumb). Great shots, Jock, and FYI, Gators launch themselves but they do that in the water like when they get food. They can't do it with all their bulky weight out of water. Still, I might have reacted the same as you just to help calm down the old heart!

are you going to shoot the people so the gator can have some relief? reminds me of a record by Jerry Clower.some men were hunting and the dogs had treed a coon. one man went up into the tree and he hollered at his friends to shoot into the tree. they we may hit you! he hollers,one of us got to have some relief!!! heck Jock, you got some awesome shots.those careless people are asking to be injured or killed.just like those girls in Errol's captures.if someone plays with fire, they may burn the house down

The bottom left shot of the gator is cool, Jocko! And sorry, I should focus more on your photography but I can't help feeling angry at the adults. There are children there!!! For CRYING out LOUD what are those people THINKING?!? I feel like this. If somebody's a grown dumbass, and they place themselves in the line of obvious danger for kicks, sobeit. That's their stupidity if they get hurt. But to have children there, so close --!! INEXCUSABLE!!
