Description

I planned on doing a image for a very kind lady but think it best to release this instead considering recent events.I'll do my dedication for my friend when the focus can be on her as it should be. A while back a friend of mine Paul, aka pjlawson was a bit down and I told him this story from my youth to try and cheer him up. In all honesty I never planned on sharing it with anyone else but after thinking it over I decided now would be the perfect time to do so. This is one of those silly and embarrassing stories we all have from our past and I hope it will show people not to take things so seriously. I think we all need to learn to laugh at ourselves from time to time to keep things in perspective. Hope it gave someone a laugh, please have a great weekend and thank you my friends for your support of me in recent weeks. Dave Limbo Pony: (For My Friends) When Veronica and I were small we spent weekends at our Grandparents farm. They had horses but we were too small to ride that is until one day Grandpa brought home a pony. Neither Veronica nor I had ever been on a pony before so we were excited and nervous.Veronica went first and was placed on the pony's back and he gently walked around the yard in a small circle almost like a ride. Thinking I was in for the same treatment I was all smiles as Grandpa placed me on the Pony and then let go. To my shock the pony took off at a much faster pace like he had a purpose. To make matters worse it had no intention of taking a casual stroll around the yard with me on it, instead as if possessed it headed for a tree with low branches and scraped me off sending me crashing and screaming to the ground. Battered, bleeding and crying they told me it was a accident and took me inside to put medicine on my cuts. Mean while Veronica went for another ride and as before it was like a gentle merry go round as the pony took her around the yard. Thinking this was just a fluke and the pony was spooked Grandpa lifted me up and placed me on the pony again. In a repeat performance the darn pony made a bee line for the lowest tree it could find, scraping me off once more. Believe it or not I was talked into getting on the evil little pony a third time as Grandpa promised to lead him using the reigns. For a while it worked and I was starting to enjoy the ride. Then Grandpa let go of the reigns to see if it would be okay finally. The moment he let go the sadistic pony made a dash for the nearest low branch to send me spilling to the ground for the third and final time. As you might guess after that I never rode a pony ever again, and thankfully Grandpa got rid of that spawn of Satan.

Hey my friend. Who saw your passions then only smiling to the life. Times not easy but there will be always a light brought to return to us in ultimate joys. Cheer still your heart brings the flexibility which this Artist ace need to give him a small nudge in the right direction. You know I admire you for all its richnesses which you deploy to return to us a smile which is lost. But how much it is good to feel a friend who include/understand us and no question poses. Mile mercies still and remains with this open heart of richnesses because the need is large and you diffuse the goodnesses of a King… MICKEYRONY ((5++)) Hey mon ami .

Glad to see you posting more of your beautiful work and I can emphasise with you, as our neighbour had a pony that did exactly that, not only trees but the barbed wire fence as well. I hated that pony with a passion. Love your expressions here and the posing. The pony looks so pleased with himself.

It's a miracle you weren't injured. Great story and image to illustrate it. Wonderful posing and expressions. I love all the details and the grandfather character and his stance are perfect. You really do have a good grasp of body language--even the willful horse. Welcome back! : )

Naaaa! that so naughty pony ... if you were as good looking as Veronica I'm sure it wouldn't of happened ? . But joking aside Dave, I was scared silly to feed a horse let alone get up and ride one, as a child I perceived horses as giants and that frighten me in a big way. Excellent perception render my friend :-) and thankyou for your kind comments on my last render.

Close your eyes Dave and listen only to the sound of me typing. Drift back-back-back in time, ten years, twenty years, thirty years, forty years...seventy years, back to that day on the pony. Remember what you were doing Dave, just before your granddad brough out the pony? Remember? You were playing jax, weren't you, Dave. And when you saw the pony you got so excited you scooped up those jax and put them in your back pocket, didn't you Dave. Now you know why we have PETA, don't you Dave.

Well Dave.. You may be pointing at the wrong spawn from hell.. You must ask yourself why Grandpa dropped the reigns every single time for your ride and never dropped them on Veronica. (or did he?) Did Grandpa even try to teach you how to steer a horse beforehand? Did you break something of value that day, that belonged to Grandpa? Was it a subconscious quirk that Grandpa is the most evil looking character in your render? Only you can answer those questions. I've ridden horses many times and the only scary part is the last 50 foot leg of the trip. That's when the horse knows it has food, water and a rubdown, just seconds away.. and when one must cling for dear life to not be thrown from the anxious horse charging to the coral...lol. Excel image and story Dave. Bravo and best wishes from Dave :^)
