Description

I've wanted to do this dedication for my friend Delia (morghana) for a very long time now. First I should apologize to her for the delay as things have prevented it. Delia is truly a wonderful lady with such a gentle soul, and I am proud to call her my friend. Delia never did a lot of drawings, yet she loved art and longer for a way to express herself. With her discovery of Poser she found a method of expressing her artistic feelings and making her happy. Sadly she is bothered by Osteoarthritis and can't spend much time on the computer or commenting on the work of others. Delia will turn off comments on some of her art because she feel bad since she is not able to respond. I hope you will take the time to look at her art because she really does incredible work and the wonderful lady she is shines through each image. This is Delia's favorite memory of when she was a little girl and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks, Dave Delia's 5th: (For morghana) Delia grew up in a home filled with a great love of music. Her Father Gerardo was the director of an Orchestra and also an excellent musician. He taught her older sister Angel to play the piano and she won many awards. Delia loved to sit beside her sister each time she would play the piano in their home. There she would watch Angel's every movement and listen to the beautiful melodies as she played music by Beethoven, Liszt and more. Her sister went on to teach music and has since retired but this memory is still cherished by Deliah. Helping to raise three nieces this story really touched me to see the sisters being so close. It is a lovely memory and I only hope I was able to bring it to life and do it justice. P.S. Please keep my friend (Pops) in your thoughts and prayers.

Della is indeed a sweet gentle soul and what a tender tribute you have created of her childhood memory. This made me think of the time when I was a little girl and used to visit my Greek aunts in Chicago (a long way from Calif) and sit beside them at their big antique piano and listen to them play and sing. How I enjoyed that. :o) CC

This reminds me of when I was a little girl, my mother taught me to play the piano on the same one she learned to play. When my "expertise" grew past what she could teach me, she paid for lessons for me. After a few years, I lost interest in it, until I decided to take up the clarinet in 7th grade. By high school I was in the school band, and re-learning the piano. Then after marriage, I learned to play the Hammond organ my husband bought me. I have had 4 Hammonds, and my current one is an A-100 with leslie speaker. I also have a Yamaha keyboard.

Dear Dave you just get better, the love and warmth that you feel for others just shines through in all your wonderful presentations. Delia and I have the O.A. in common, as I too suffer this alongside my other illness, so fully understand and can empathise with her. She must never feel bad that she cannot always make comments, as all of us fully understand, but then again I truly know exactly how she feels. A wonderful artwork for a wonderful brave lady Dave - thank you for helping us all to relive our childhood within your art - hugs Jane xx

I saw this earlier but just now could come back to comment. Delia is one of the most special people. She is giving and caring and perseveres through pain to share her talents with others. We do not speak the same verbal language but we share the same art language and that makes us sisters. Truly wonderful dedication for such a fantastic person. Thank you.
