To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

a powerful straight-forward face, done in stone as much as flesh, the tones across it are expressive, and the eyes are like fire and hidden light. I like the simplicity of it, though you have very subtle & active framing (you often do). I especially like that you use Cuneiform, or appear to use it at least. I don't read it but assume you've spelled out something relevant, or perhaps you wrote your name...it's very elegant regardless, and it fits the ageless simplicity of the image. To me, this is a vision coming through stone and darkness to seduce us. Beautiful, bold & mysterious.
