Description

This is for my friend Deb or best known as (Suncat1). She is a really super artist who does great work in Daz Studio. I love her science fiction images and her creative ideas she has for them. Most important is she is a truly wonderful lady who has been a friend to me for a very long time. Deb is great at telling stories and has a perfect memory for even the smallest details from long ago.The way she described her family to me made me feel like I really knew them. She shared this story with me a while back about what happened to her family one Christmas so I waited to share it with all of you now. As I've learned from my nieces sometimes all it takes is one of your kids showing you how much they love you to make everything alright. My best wishes for the holidays to my dear friends all over the globe. I hope you enjoy Deb's story and may God bless and watch over you all. Dave The Christmas Star: Once upon a time Deb's parents wanted a Christmas tree. Her Dad found one by a storage building and took it home. Her Mom said it was too tall, didn't have enough branches and left sap all over. Deb and her sisters Robin and Bonnie decorated the tree to make it beautiful. Their Mom put a lovely glass tree spire on top to complete their work. During the night they heard a crash and ran downstairs. Their cat Mitzy had tried to climb the tree and knocked it over breaking her Mom's cherished tree spire. Deb knew her Mom was sad and decided to do something special for her. Deb got a stapler, scissors, paper plates, foil and tassels. Deb worked so hard to create a magical star for their tree. Later Robin brought their parents into the livingroom. Their stood Deb holding her small foil star with little tassels she had made. Bonnie was holding Mitzy so she didn't spoil the moment. Her Mom was so touched she put the star on top of the tree and it stayed there all Christmas. He is doing much better and wearing the back brace now. They have managed to stand him and with help and trying to help him to walk. Keep him in your thoughts, prayers and meditations as he is a bit depressed that he won't be able to be home with his family for Christmas.

Wonderful story and image. As usual your images match your story and dedi perfectly. You really put thought into every image and a part of yourself to. You not only retell someone's story but you tell a bit of yourself as well in between the lines. Great image dear friend.

this is a lovely Christmas tale, Dave. The children are so sweet and they obviously love their mom. this is what family and Christmas is all about, sticking together and making each other smile. I love the girl's clothing, their dresses are so cute and mom's outfit is fun! :) I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. thanks for the update on Steve.

Excellent Dedi, Story and Rendering Dave! I am still using the top ornament that has been used by this family for over 36 years. My late wife brought it into my life when we married. She had had it in her family since whe was a little girl. It still shines as brightly as ever. Here's hoping you and your family are healthy and are having a wonderful Christmas. Bravo and best wishes always.. from Dave :^)

We used to have a live (well, it was when we chopped it down) Christmas tree when I was growing up. Because nothing says "Peace on Earth" like the destruction of old growth forest. Our were not too unlike the one you've depicted. They were always tipsy with a curvy shaft. We used to anchor the spire with two ropes of garland each tied to a curtain rod close to where the tree stood. I spent hours trying to adjust the stand so the silly thing would look plausibly upright. Mitzy does not look in the least bit apologetic. No doubt she was miffed about how the staff did not anchor the tree properly and its toppling ruined her perfectly stealthy assent. Mitzy must have been a Maine Coon. Such cats love shiny things (especially wedding rings for some reason) and have a reputation for taking them and keeping them in their stash. Usually the interior of an old couch (aka: lost forever).
