Description

I stopped a large store to buy some food and when I came out, I saw many pigeons near my car looking for food in the grass.as I got closer I thought I was seeing a green pigeon but on further looking I realized it was a parrot like bird.I grabbed my camera and started shooting but they kept walking farther from me with each of my steps.I was not able to get good quality captures, then something spooked the pigeons and all flew away there is a colony of the birds living near a local lake.I see them flying over sometimes.first time to see on the ground.the bottom two are the same bird I hope you enjoy them never the less and thanks for looking and any comments

Wow - these are really cool! I didn't know parrots lived in Texas but apparently they do! Such pretty green ones too. Lovely photos!

Looks very much like our "Budgerigar" but hard to tell what size it is. Neat captures Richard.

What a lucky capture! So rare to see such an expensive bird walking around...must have escaped. A friend of ours found a grey parrot outside and caught it with peanuts. He had the bird for decades...such a smart bird.
