Description
Please forgive the working title , I couldn't help myself!
Ok don't have much to say today, (and they all exclaim..... A resounding .... Thank God!!) ;)
I spent about 2 hrs last nite on this and 2 hours today, because of some of the smaller details and the fact that it was painted wet into wet, I was forced to use a mall stick, a very clumsy and nessesary, evil little tool!! ;)
(serves me right for choosing to work in such a slow drying medium)
Same pallette as mentioned before, except for the addition of allizarion crimson, which is mixed with mars black for the darkest darks, I don't like to use pure black , as it seems to visually cut a hole in a canvas ! While speaking of black, my preference is mars black for warm paintings and ivory black for cooler paintings.
One of the problems ascosiated with working without a reference.... is folds in clothing... THEY ARE SO HARD FOR ME TO FAKE!! I hate the right sleeve ... finally gave up on it for now.
Might cut the sleave off a sweatshirt and have Trina photograph me .

p.s. I found an amazing brush cleaner, made by Cleanstrip: it will even remove hardened paint, and the fumes have an interesting and fun side effect, they make me.... giggle,.... so now i'm keeping an open can of it right beside my easel, just for fun! ;)
Wow ... it's a good thing I didn't have a lot to say!!!! Thanks again to all of you for watching and your gracious comments!!!!

Happy Easter Tom!!!!! Your work is coming along splendidly and as always your informative and often humorous dialogue is helpful and entertaining on many levels.... I'm not exactly sure what a "real" painter is but your approach is definitely well thought out, professional, classy and is by no means a fly-by-night operation. But I always leave the door open to new approaches and alternative techniques of the "unreal" painters ....To me it's mostly about the results.... not necessarily how I got there...But everyone has there own way of doing things or else this and every other forum would be completely boring...lolrofllol....Always glad to see your progress and as always I wish you and everyone the best in everything!!!!! God bless everyone!!!!
