Description
The Brown Thrasher is related to the Mockingbird and the Catbird, but larger and quite impressive at 11.5 inches long.
A ground feeder, he rustled through leaves looking for insects, and jumped into last year's unattended bird bath.
I was able to get a couple of shots before he heard me. This is a first time visitor to my yard.
Thank you very much for your kind comments on my last upload. I appreciate it. Thanks for looking.

Whole new appreciation for your bird photography now:) This is perfectly focused, detail is sharp and lighting just right. I also like the spreading ripples in the water. A high standard for us to achieve!

Wow, look at those intense eyes! With that expression I can well understand why they call it a thrasher. Stellar clarity, colors, composition and textures in this magnificent capture, Maria!
