Description

Well folks, this tranquil image has got a story... But first the image! I snapped it late yesterday afternoon and it is exactly as I downloaded it from my camera - No postwork except the frame... The light and sky was amazing - I do not believe I have seen anything quite like this! When I took this image, I was feeling very far from tranquil! We (my sons, one girlfriend and my granddaughter) were coming back from my brother's birthday celebration about an hour and a half from home. My eldest son decided that we will not take the trusted and known route home, we will follow the shortest route according to his GPS. Now, I am not a GPS girl. In fact, I hate them! I am more of a map girl - determine my route ahead of time, know exactly where I'm going etc. Back to yesterday! I was very reluctant but was told to trust him. (my son) Well, to cut a long story short - this journey (thanks to the TRUSTED GPS) took us three and a half hours OVER a mountain (half of the journey in the dark) on a dirt road that will make any 4 wheel drive vehicle suffer. Please note that we were travelling in two Toyota sedan vehicles!!! It was indeed the shortest route but took us 2 hours longer and shortened my life by a year and gave me extra grey hairs!!! My only reward - this image!!!! Thank you for popping in and for your valued comments and favs on my previous upload. You all rock! Take care and use a paper MAP!!!! Hugs, Carin xx

I'm a map guy and understand your feelings. Spectacular capture - love the soft color and contrast with the blue sky. Dana
