Description

Quite some time ago I asked Piet (busi2ness) if it was okay if I used one of the photographs he'd shown me as the reference for a painting. He generously agreed, and I saved the image for future use. I finally got around to doing the painting this weekend, and sent him a note: "Do you remember I wanted to paint your image of a giraffe at sunset? Well, it's finally done!" He said, "I'll make sure to upload the photograph, then!" As it turns out, the image he thought I had painted wasn't the one I'd painted, but it's quite similar! This is impressive and nicely moody; it really captures that sunset feeling, when everything is winding down and calm. Great shadows and silhouettes, they really set off the nicely warm colors! Great work!
