I took this shot during the full moon earlier this month. I got a little inspired and just started writing. It just seemed to fit the photo so well.
I hope you enjoy it. Comments both critical and non critical are welcome and taken to heart.

WOW!!! I can imagine the voice of Vincent Price narrating this as a prequel to an Alice Cooper song, or something off of Michael Jackson's Thriller album. I'm glad I'm not afraid of things that go bump in the night. Eerie shot, and equally unnerving poem!

Abasolutely lovely! One small critique of the poem; in the line "Your soul screams in pure fright", it would scan (and keep the rhythm) better if you removed the "pure". Otherwise, a magnificent poem, quite fitting to the picture. Excellent job, I have to say! (I do know how hard it can be coming up with poems, so colour me quite impressed at the results of your inspiration.) Definitely a "5".

Nice words and capture, Cheri. As usual we enjoy tales of fright and the weird, when we are all comfy and cosy at home... and yes, I too can hear Vincent Price in his eerie timbre, usually in an Edgar Allen Poe tale, 'devilishly' uttering the words which you have written... ;o) Warm regards, as summer returns to Glasgow ( i.e. it is raining.. ;o) ), John.
