More ninja photography. This is how we think the conversation went. If you can add or would change it, feel free to play along. I'd love to hear your ideas. The Love Affair of Penelope and Gary Opposites do attract, this proves it. Penelope is a stunning brown pelican and Gary a Boat-tailed Grackle, are out on a beach day date. Quietly we sneak up on them to take a listen in on this conversation. Shhh, be very, very quiet. Gary: “Did you do something different with your feathers baby?” Penelope: “Why yes, I wasn’t sure if it even looked good. I mean I thought it did. It won’t be so tight once it relaxes a bit. Well what do you think?” Gary : “I saw the way the gulls were checking you out. You can’t tell me you didn’t notice that.” Penelope: “You have nothing to worry about sweetheart, my heart belongs to you. Although, it was nice to be noticed.” Gary: “They can look all they want as long as they don’t peck. …. Are we still on for tonight?” Penelope: “What did you have in mind? I am not eating in that dumpster behind the Chinese restaurant again.” Gary: “Baby tonight it’s a moonlight shrimp dinner. The humans aren’t catching anything anyway, they’ll have plenty to throw our way. Afterwards I have a nest booked at the fanciest hotel on the beach. First class all the way, sweetums!” Penelope giggles: “How romantic.” Thank you for stopping by to look. Thank you for commenting on my previous post. This is cool!!! Actually looks like he's carrying on a conversation with the Pelican. It seems to me she's acting a bit coy, with her back to him, like she's trying soooo hard not to be easy! Hey baby,....I got lemon drops back at my place!!

How about, "Penny, where did they ever get the idea that the world is round?" Or, "Penny, did you know you have a dent on your plumage down toward the tail?" Or, "Gary, you're really beginning to bug me!" Or, "Gary, I know we're friends, but people are beginning to talk." Great ninja work in this terrific capture of the calm, composed, and possibly bored, avians as they survey the ocean scene, Cheri!
