Description
I was going to post a picture of Central Park today but the tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico prompted me to make this scene last night.
I'm sorry for the 11 lives lost tragically, the thousands more whose lives will be ruined and for the enormous loss of animal live and habitat yet to happen.
I live on an island in the Gulf of Mexico in SW Florida, far south of this site, but even here we are feeling the effects, the cell phones aren't working, the network if full. A small inconvenience but I fear it is a symptom of a major crisis of giant proportion as yet unstated.
Is it worth it?
Sorry for the rant, and thanks for looking.
The parrots are from Ken Gilliland's Songbird Remix Parrots of the World collection. The Oil Rig is from C3D.

It's a beautiful image, and stirring as well. I live in Houston, I think all the Gulf Coast region is going to feel the impact from this for quite some time. Thanks for posting this.

Purtroppo gli uomini sembrano vivere per distruggere ciĆ² che li circonda ! Un abella scena la tua dove verde e azzurro si fondono in un effetto tranquillizzante ! Ma all'orizzonte l'incognita!!! Unfortunately, men seem to live to destroy what surrounds them! A beautiful scene where your green and blue come together in a calming effect! But the unknown horizon!

The rant is quite right, and your render awesome... This situation reminds me of the old prophecy: "When all the trees have been cut down, when all the animals have been hunted, when all the waters are polluted, when all the air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money." -Cree Prophecy

Well said and well done.
