Description
I've always been fascinated by the artistic production of the late 19th-early 20th centuries. The voluptuously restless statues, look in a provocative way at the passers-by; their robes and cloaks are always shown as if frozen by a chilly wind in a convulsive movement. Here I also like the big martial, mysterious faces framing the main sculpture. I'm not surprised that many movies, such as the immortal Ghostbusters, were located in Fin de siècle buildings!
Originally this palace was the site of the Royal Court, built around 1383. It continued to be the main residence of the city's rulers until 1483,then the building became a seminary and later a military academy. It was eventually demolished in 1903. The site of the demolished palace was quickly filled in with the construction of a large cultural center and concert hall.Completed in 1911, the Municipal House is now Prague's most spectacular Art Nouveau building.
Thank you for your kind comments.

I totally agree with you ... the late eighteenth and early nineteenth were very rich Architextures, in rare, such as marble (except Italy) as the late nineteenth and the first 30 years of the twentieth were the Epoq of Art Nouveau, and the use of insects as common reasons décoratrionzs (dragonflies, butterflies, bees)

Disappointed that they destroyed a 420 year old building. This is a wonderful example of the architecture during the Hapsburg empire. You've captured it very well, excellent composition. I'd be interested in knowing what the figures represent.
