Description
This is the main doorway of the Westminster Abbey in London! I photographed this way back in 2007! I would have loved to include the actual doors, but there were a gezillion tourists blocking the view! I didn't know what to upload and was fiddling through my old files when I came upon this shot! It screamed Bill & Tara!!!
Oh - and do zoom!!!

ps We are experiencing a truckload of difficulty with Internet connection at the moment. Apparently the incoming and outgoing broadband is used first to broadcast the Soccer to the world, which is fair enough, but it doesn't help the HUGE frustration!!!

I love all the detail the carvers put into it; and I see that God is holding the holy hand grenade of Antioch, the better to smite our enemies, in his mercy, amen...never mind, just had a Monty Python moment there :)

This is an exquisite post! Look at all those figures! WOW! The details have details, and yeah, this just has Tara and Bill written all over it. And this gives me an idea for a digifiddle! Could you imagine each of the saints with Renderosity artists' faces made to match the original stonework? But all of that notwithstanding, this is marvelous, and just goes to show that it's usually better to photograph things above the heads of tourist-sorts! There's a lot to look at and take in here, and that's quite a fun prospect! Yeah, this is a great shot and a fantastic dedication! Wonderful! Oooh, and broadband issues! I hope that can get resolved soon! I hate frustration! But hey, you posted a winning picture here!
