Description

This is my grandfather Van Zelfden and me at the age of two. Van Zelfden fought in WW1, WW2, and the Korean war. I know he fought in North Africa, mid east and russia fronts. i do not know what elese for People do not like to talk about war much. I like to thank all our troops from the 1700's till now and I like to thank all the little people like the famers and the factory workers and all who supported the troops. I just wish to add this to my gallery thank you for looking and commenting

I disagree about those people being "little people", as without them there would be no reason to fight. they are the parents, siblings, wives, and children of the soldiers defending them.the soldiers would have no aircraft, guns, or ammunition and uniforms.or anyone to dig a grave and place flowers and recall their love wonderful that you met your grandfather, as I almost did not meet my father and not one relative of my mother. I accidentally found out about my great grand father and that he had built the Cottage house museum in Alvin, Texas movie stars when accepting awards, sometimes says they want to thank the "little people" and without those very people they would not be in their position of making lots of money and prestigious life style

Van Zelfden fought on the Russian front? In World War II? As an American, what was he doing there? In any event, quite a veteran, your grandfather. Three wars, wow. And, a cool old foto of you and your granddaddy, Jock.
