Description
Just fog in my neighborhood... I softened the top to make it like an old glass negative. (Please see full size---it's large.) MORE IMPORTANT: I wanted to post an image for Tara & Bill: They just got married!!! But I've been recovering, so I never finished. So I'll post your image later on... But in the meantime: CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO!!! I wish you all the joy & love in the world!!! We're all incredibly happy for you! (And you met right here on RR!!!) (Ya think fog would be a little inappropriate?) Finally: I commented on almost everyone today. I don't know how soon I'll be back, so the people I missed? Tomorrow, I promise. It was great to be back in your galleries once more...

Beautiful light, lines, and atmosphere! I love the prominence of the trees! They stand tall. The detail of their bark is blurred by the fog and your postwork to become paint strokes of light, darkness, and shape. They are the main characters to me and I can hear them whispering about the cold, the fog, and the hasty folk that flit about in their world. Yes, they make me think of Ents, though their surroundings are very different from Middle Earth. Beautiful depth accentuated by the lines of the railings and the distinct tree in the distance. Lovely image!

oooh, I don't know how I missed this. I love the light.. the contrasts between light and dark and between soft and sharp have quite a powerful effect. This image really has an otherworldly feel.. full of ghosts and spirits. I love these old neighborhoods. So easy to imagine women in their long skirts and parasols and children playing stick ball. perhaps a horse hauling the milk wagon...
