Description

This image is dedicated to Monica, (mgtcs). She is a fantastic artist, and a wonderful lady. She does work in (Poser) and creates the most beautiful images you will ever see. Her images have a beauty and style that is all her own. She adds a special magic to each image that everyone loves. Monica is from Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil and has many wonderful memories of her childhood. Her Mother HYGIA GOMES TEIXEIRA, was a teacher. Hygia managed to teach many classes each day and also take care of her home and raise Monica. She was an amazing lady that was loved by everyone. She taught in school up until the day she passed on, as teaching children was her passion. Her funeral was filled with students of all ages, who's lives she had forever touched. Moments With My Mom (For mgtcs): Monica was one of the smartest children in school, and was reading by the age of four. Her Mom Hygia taught Monica the importance of learning and she developed a love for reading that has lasted all of her life. Hygia loved Monica so very much, and set aside time each night to spend with her daughter. Hygia would set on the couch and lift Monica up next to her. Monica would set as close to her Mom as possible, and the fun would begin. Hygia would hold Monica while reading countless stories to her including one's about her beloved Brazil. After a while Monica would drift off to sleep in the soft embrace of her Mom, comforted by her voice. For me this story was like Monica herself, very beautiful and touching. Update: Thank you for the prayers for my Mom, she is home now recovering from her stroke. Everyone here has always treated me with such love an compassion and I apologize for not being a better friend lately.

oh, Dave, I'm sorry I missed this. I'm not getting notices. :( this is a sweet image, it reminds me of my past with my own mother. I love mom's pants in this; very fun and playful, and the picture on the wall is a really nice touch. I'm glad your mom is doing well... and you don't need to say you're sorry for anything! lots of hugs

A really touching image, the safety a child feels when she got a loving mom besides her, excellent scene Dave. I'm glad your mom is out of the hospital and hope she will have a fast recovery.

Beautiful image and dedication to a lovely lady and artist. This is such a wonderful memory. Reading has always been an important part of my family life growing up and after I had children of my own. You story excellently tells of the intimate moments as important as the story itself and of the feeling of being lifted to new lands and times, or becoming more fully attuned to ones own land. Beautiful poses and expressions. They are connected not only by physical touch, but by their journey together into the pages of the book. I love Monica's pose and expression as she leans forward and stares into the book. There is a moment, usually so far back that it can not be pinpointed exactly, when readers discover the power of those black lines and shapes. I don't know if Monica is actually reading the words along with her mother or just revelling in the power of them to take her to new worlds. Whichever is the case, the words are weaving a web of magic, and it can be seen on her face. The photo of Monica and her mother is a wonderful touch. This is beautifully done. I'm glad your mother is continuing to recover. Don't worry about us. I know your are taking wonderful care of your mom. Take care of yourself too. That's the best thing you can do for us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom.

Ah shucks. I really am so far behind on comments. I totally missed this one. Drat drat drat. This is just so sweet. So lovely. I really like how you portrayed the mom and daughter here. Amazing posing. Love their expressions too. And mom's pajamas are really cute. Love the picture hanging on the wall behind them. A really lovely posting. It's always a pleasure to view your work. Big big hugs to you and your mom right now. You are always a wonderful friend to everyone - no need to apologize!

This is such an endearing image. Take your time, Dave, everyone goes through things that take us from the things we enjoy, sometimes. It makes us appreciate the good times better, perhaps.
