My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Love and light are two of things that will always nourish the world and this is a fantastic recognition of that. And speaking of love and light, how cool is it that Carin is there/here. It's a bit warmer there than Chicago right now, but I have to say that Chicago is in the midst of something epic...we're talking weather designed by Cecil B. DeMille himself, which means that Yul Brenner might be lurking around in some extravagant costume, somewhere...or not. Probably not. It's cold out there, and it's pretty hard to look extravagant all bundled up against blowing snow, gale-force winds, more blowing snow...and get this, thunder and lightening! Yep. The Old Chicago that I know and love is back! Sort of. Anyway...this is a marvel of a photograph, at a complex marvel of a time. Carin is in Seattle, this image itself is a touching dedication to another dear friend, and I'm seeing it (and experiencing it) to the accompaniment of music (the soundtrack to Avatar) while drinking orange juice. I feel a real sense of togetherness, with all of its complexities, and that is quite a marvelous thing! There's even a Russian involved. This is a fantastic post.
