Gorgeous capture Susan! I think I have been losing ebots on the changeover at Rosity Susan. I have not received any notification, whatsoever. I'm sorry you have had such a shock. You are incredibly brave. Please take heed what Mike has said. I admire his sentiment and you are in our prayers also. Steve ;)

Ok, I finally got here. And so glad I did. A beautiful mimosa and fabulous clarity. You did this so well, I can sense how soft and feathery it feels if you run your finger over it.

Beautiful image. Sorry to hear about your health news. Here's hoping the medicine chases it away.

I can almost smell this; it's such a gorgeous and intense image. Flowers are like that. I have yet to capture any in a really satisfactory manner, but then I'm one of those typical "bugs and snails and puppy-dog-tails" sorts of guys, so I tend to photograph things that are slimy, or in possession of lots and lots of legs. I once thought it was just a guy thing, but there are lots of women here on renderosity who do more bug shots than me! Funny how that works. But anyway, this is about a gorgeous flower and not a bug; the details in this are so amazing, especially for something that would blur at the merest hint of a breeze, even from you breathing on it. Fantastic. The blossom looks so fluffy and fragile, almost dream like. You have a great sense of color too. I really like that, but then color is one of my weaknesses...kinda like beer and chocolate (not at the same time, mind you.) This is a fantastic dedication too: very warm and gentle.

Love the choice of shallow DOF for this beautiful flower!

I'm not familiar with this particular flower but it sure is beautiful!--like your spirit, Susan. This is your gallery, your platform to say in pictures and words what is in your heart. There will always be an immature few who can't deal with life's realities--and especially with Cancer and those who are expreiencing its relentless ravishings. Don't pay attention to such folks; their opinion is nothing. Most of us WANT to know how you are doing. You are always in our hearts and minds. I've always believed that honesty was best in such matters, even when it hurts like hell. We who support you, want to you speak of your pain, your worries and concerns, and yes especially of your victories. I think often of your husband and family, too. Cancer as you well know is a family, not an individual affair. It affects everyone around you as well as yourself. Wonderfully, I think that applies even to your cyber friends too. You are a part of us. How can we NOT be affected too. But remember your true friends want to be affected. Jeremy
